Looping back to you
Honestly, it's the twists and tangles that keep things interesting for me. Without them, life would be too predictable. I’ve never really seen the need to straighten things out, whether it’s schedules, relationships, or loose threads.
There's a belief that once the knots are untangled, everything will be smooth. But me? Give me loops and knots any day. I got so hooked that I took up knitting and crochet—because why leave tangles for chance when you can make your own?
Now that I have knitters to handle the loops and knots for me, I've started to print them… As if I needed any more ways to tie myself in knots. When life gets too tangled, there's always a loop-hole waiting to be found.
Call it a pattern, if you like.
Here I sit in this green square—once a meadow, then a city, now trying to pass for a meadow again. It's not just my knits, knots and not even my round brooch. In fact, I think we are moving forward in circles, not in a straight line. And that's really fine. There's nothing wrong with revisiting, with returning. Looping back to oneself, to one’s past, to the things we once loved.
I, for one, like my old me just fine.
I think we've come full circle here. So, what do you say—let's tie the knot?
